LA ASIAN COMMUNITY 2026 | Little Tokyo Service Center Hosts Mental Health Conference “Ebb and Flow” at Terasaki Budokan | Saturday, October 17, 2026, 9AM-5PM

LOS ANGELES – Little Tokyo Service Center (LTSC) hosts its 4th annual “Ebb and Flow: Community Mental Health Conference” at Terasaki Budokan in Little Tokyo, Downtown Los Angeles on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Through diverse panels, workshops, and breakout discussions, “Ebb and Flow” explores mental health topics specific to the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) community, including cultural arts and music therapy, substance use and mental health, young adult wellness, and caregiving support.

“We’re all working, doing things too fast, and we don’t have the time to talk about the things we experience. It’s important to talk about mental health in a place where you feel comfortable… I think it’s great to have safe spaces like this.” –Grace, 2025 Ebb and Flow attendee

As the AANHPI community continues to be the nation’s ethnic group with the lowest utilization of mental health resources, welcoming spaces with open discussions like “Ebb and Flow” aim to destigmatize mental health resources and asking for help.

“It’s easier to come to an event and seek help or get information with other people rather than on your own. It’s less scary. It’s helpful with a group. You don’t feel isolated. You can relate to others who have gone through similar experiences.” –Stefany, 2025 Ebb and Flow attendee

This year’s opening panel features intergenerational panelists discussing their anxiety throughout unprecedented times. The day’s workshops and discussions are facilitated by Little Tokyo Service Center’s social services staff and community partners such as Keiro and the Asian American Drug Abuse Program (AADAP).

“Ebb and Flow” invites folks of all ages, no matter where you are in your mental health journey. Register to attend “Ebb and Flow” at: https://give.ltsc.org/event/2026-ebb-and-flow-community-mental-health-conference/e803485. Senior and student pricing is available.
