San Diego – Washu-Kai presents the 36th annual Japanese brush painting (sumi-e) exhibition on Sunday, Nov 27, from 11 am to 4 pm, in Room 101, Casa del Prado, Balboa Park, San Diego.
Painting demonstration will be performed by Washu’s graduate students Tatsuko Sandin (artist name, Ryushu) and Wendy C. Nakamura (Kakushu).
The exhibition will feature sumi-e painting and wearable fashion art by Washu-Kai members. The wearable art fashion show will be at 2:15 pm.
Floral arrangements will be held by the Ohara School of Ikebana, Sogetsu School of Ikebana, and Teshigahara Wafukai.
Koto music will be performed by Masazumi Kai.
