Join us as Takako Sasaki gives us a “Kimono Class” where we will see different kimono, learn about Kimono etiquette and traditions associated with the “Coming of Age” ceremony in Japan. You will also learn how to wear the Kimono, and enjoy a cup of tea.
Drumming & the Martial Arts – Sunday, Nov. 19

Join local master drummer Gerald Rivers and Guro Michael Belzer as you learn how Timing, Rhythm, Syncopation, and Relaxed Focus are related to hand drumming (using the Djembe) and the higher levels of Martial Arts. Special guest performance by the Peace Players.
1st hour: Performance & Drum Basics
2nd hour: Filipino Escrima – Stick Fighting
3rd hour: More Drumming
