Concert at 4:40 pm in Lyman Hall, Pomona College
Do you know the renowned jazz fusion band Hiroshima or heard the yokobue Japanese flute and shakuhachi jamming jazz and western music?
Either way you are in for a treat! The Intercollegiate Department of Asian American Studies at the Claremont Colleges is proud to present the three premier performing artists, Johnny Mori, Danny Yamamoto, and George Abe in concert at 4:30 pm at Lyman Hall on the Pomona College campus.
Come be dazzled by Johnny Mori, the original taiko drummer of Hiroshima, and Danny Yamamoto, their percussion drummer, on the taiko, while George Abe mesmerizes on the taiko, the Japanese flute, and shakuhachi as well!
The concert is free and open to the public. Lyman Hall is located in the Thatcher Building at 340 N. College Avenue, Claremont, CA 91711 on the corner of Fourth Street and College Avenue (https://www.pomona.edu/sites/default/files/pomona-campus-map.pdf).
Parking can be found on Harvard Avenue, one block west of College Avenue, as well as along the side streets as long as it is not designated as restricted parking. We look forward to seeing you!
