Forwarded for the Sister City Association of Huntington Beach
The 5th Annual Huntington Beach Cherry Blossom Festival will be held on March 18, 2018 from 10:30-5:30 in Huntington Beach Central Park, 7111 Talbert Ave.
This FREE community event brings together people from all over Orange and Los Angeles counties to celebrate Japanese music, dance, arts, crafts and food under the beautiful Cherry Blossom trees in Central Park, which were a gift to our city from our Sister City Anjo, near Nagoya, Japan.
The Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles and Huntington Beach Mayor and City Counsel will be opening the Festival with a ceremonial planting of a Cherry Blossom tree.
In 4 short years the Huntington Beach Sister City Association volunteers have grown the Festival from a small Girl Scout project to an event that attracted approximately 10,000 people last year and ended the day as a Snapchat National story!
We are a non-profit all volunteer group and 100% of every dollar raised goes to support our 35 year friendship with our Sister City in Anjo, Japan and our student exchange program.
