Sogetsu Ikebana Los Angeles Branch presents annual “Fall 2023 Katen: Ikebana X Anime” at the Japanese American National Museum on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 4 – 5. Admission Free.
The theme of “Ikebana x Anime” means that Sogetsu captures the Spirit of Japanese Anime. Sogetsu Ikebana meets Japanese Anime. Using plant materials is a very challenging endeavor, allowing for the expression of their anime image.
This annual event provides 4 major-works exhibitions (Kitajima Yokou Group: One Piece, Takeichi Gyokushun Group: Spirited Away, Arao Kyokusen Group: Tonari No Totoro, Miyahara Youshun Group: Time Movement) and 50 personal works exhibitions.
Exhibition hours are: Saturday, 11:00-17:00 and Sunday, 11:00-16:00.
