
Building on the great success of the last two years, the 3rd Japan Parade in New York City will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 1:00 pm on Central Park West.
Wheelchair tennis star and Paralympic four-time Gold medalist Shingo Kunieda will serve as the parade’s Grand Marshall, and Sandra Endo, Fox 11 Good Day LA anchor, will serve as Emcee of the parade. Participating groups will show Japan’s various attractions, such as culture, tradition, sports, music, cosplay, etc. for everyone’s enjoyment.
Beginning on Central Park West at West 81st Street and traveling south to West 67th Street, the Japan Parade will feature live appearances by the cast of “Demon Slayer,” Anime NYC (Anime Convention), Coalition of Asian Pacific Americans, COBU (Drum), Harlem Japanese Gospel Choir, International Karate Organization Kyokushinkaikan, The Japanese Folk Dance of NY, Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), Japan Performing Arts (Bon Odori), Naoya Ogura Jazz Band, NYPD Police Band, Soh Daiko (Drum), Yamaguchi City Government, Yosakoi Dance Project 10tecomai and many more.
Street Fair will be held on 72nd Street between Central Park West and Columbus Ave from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, May 11.
