2024/9/09/ Japanese American Memorial Pilgrimage organizes “Pilgrimage to Topaz, Utah” from September 6-9, 2024 at Little America Hotel and Topaz Site

Japanese American Memorial Pilgrimage
Preliminary Schedule
Friday, September 6: Genealogy workshop at FamilySearch Library, Welcome dinner and keynote speaker, Karen Korematsu.
Saturday, September 7: Day trip to Topaz Site and Museum.
Sunday, September 8: Mitsuye Endo presentation. Film “Bitter Legacy” screening followed by a panel discussion on the Moab and Leupp Sites. Presentation on importance of monuments to memory and healing. Evening dessert bar and social hour.
Monday, September 9: Author talks and book signing. Presentation on Japanese American families who “self-relocated” to Utah during the war. Intergenerational Group Discussions. Utah Premiere of film “Kintsukuroi.”
The registration fee $350 covers dinner on September 6, lunch on September 7, and a dessert bar on September 8. It also includes entry to the Topaz Museum, a charter bus ride to the site, access to all speaker sessions, and much more.
Survivors of any WWII incarceration camp may register for free.
The official event hotel is the Little America Hotel. It is attendees’ responsibility to book their room at Hotel Booking Link.
JAMP has secured a block of rooms at a discounted rate exclusively for attendees.
Most events and group activities will take place in or around the Little America Hotel. If attendees choose to stay at another hotel, be aware that the Little America Hotel will serve as the central hub for the majority of activities.
