Huntington Beach, CA — Experience the artistry and culture of Japan at the Japanese Culture Fair, taking place at the Huntington Beach Central Library on Oct. 18 and 19, 2025.
This unique event is co-hosted by the Hidden Japan, the Huntington Beach Sister City Association, the City of Huntington Beach, and the governments of Niigata and Miyagi Prefectures.
The two-day fair will showcase a vibrant marketplace featuring handcrafted goods from Tsubamesanjo, a renowned region in Japan responsible for over 95% of the country’s domestic kitchenware.
Artisans will travel from Japan to present their exceptional wares—many of which are not available elsewhere in America—offering visitors a rare opportunity to purchase unique crafts and engage directly with the creators.
In addition to the artisan market, attendees can enjoy a diverse array of cultural workshops and demonstrations, including taiko drumming, martial arts, ikebana (flower arranging), tea ceremonies, and folk art. Live performances by martial artists and taiko drummers will take place exclusively on Sunday, October 19th, in the library’s theater room.
A photo gallery and special displays featuring crafts from Miyagi Prefecture will be open throughout the event. Proceeds from sales will support Huntington Beach’s sister city relationships and international exchange programs.
