“One-day sitting” at Zenshuji will take place on Sunday, Feb 26 from 7:10 am through 5:00 pm at 123 South Hewitt Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012. (213) 617-0100.
This “One-day sitting” is led by Daigaku Rumme, a Zen priest in the Soto Zen tradition, who is the head priest of Zenshuji and the director of the Soto Zen Buddhism North America Office.
During the morning, Rev. Rumme will give a Dharma talk, and in the afternoon, Rev. Rumme is available for participants to speak on one-to-one.
Rev. Rumme says “We speak as little as possible during this time so that we can devote ourselves to single-minded zazen, something that we find difficult to do in our busy lives.”
The cost is $10 for Zenshuji members and $30 for non-members.
Breakfast and lunch are included.
