The Los Angeles premiere of the Lil Tokyo Reporter will be held at the newly renovated Downtown Independent Theater (former Linda Lea Theater) adjacent to Little Tokyo on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 12:30, 1:30, and 2:30 pm.
Downtown Independent Theater is located at 251 South Main Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012.
There will be a Q & A session with the film’s director, producers and actors after the movie, followed by light refreshments.
Low-cost parking will be available next to the theater. Tickets are $9, senior/students $7.
The world premiere film was held in Pasadena and the Orange County premiere in Huntington Beach last year.
Lil Tokyo Reporter is a narrative short film (30 min) inspired by the life and major community contributions of historic newspaper publisher, Sei Fujii.
The story covers a week in 1935 Little Tokyo, where Fujii confronts the corruption that threatens the livelihood of his of his community.
