Just one more week until the 43rd Annual Bunka Sai Japanese Cultural Festival presented by the Torrance Sister City Association on Saturday/Sunday, April 25 & 26 from 11-5 at the Ken Miller Recreation Center (3341 Torrance Blvd.).
Free admission and parking.
The performances on Saturday include: Okinawa taiko, Anime contest winners, Urasenke Tea Ceremony, South Bay Judo, Torrance Naginata, Dance by Mai no Kai, Torrance Kendo, Kimono by Toshiko Okawa and L.A. Taiko.
Sunday performers are: Beikoku Shodo, Prota Taiko, Torrance Aikido, Koto by Awaya-kai, Dance by Bando Hidesomi, Shakuhachi by Shoshi Kanokohata, Music by Matsutoyo-kai and L.A. Taiko Center.
Tasty BBQ plate lunches, yakisoba, curry rice, sweet mochi, Spam musubi, shave ice and Amezaiku candy sculptor for sale.
Kamishibai stories every 30 minutes, bonsai, origami and ikebana. Games for kids. Don't miss this!!
All proceeds benefit student cultural exchange program with Kashiwa, Japan.
