“Delicious Little Tokyo: A weekend of Culinary Experiences in the Heart of L.A.” was presented by Little Tokyo Community Council from July 21-23.
As part of the “Delicious” marketing campaign, Mitsuru Sushi & Grill on 2nd Street hosted a sushi-making workshop with 20 participants on Saturday, July 22 from 2:00 – 3:00 pm
The most participants were young women, very enthusiastic to learn tip of making sushi, and enjoy to eat their own hand-roll sushi.
Over a sushi bar, owner chef Mamoru Hanamure of Mitsuru restaurant explained how to make hand-rolling of: classic California Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, Salmon Skin Roll, and Veggie Roll.
Hanamure said, “I am glad to see the participants are enjoying this hands-on sushi making. I understand how much they like Japanese culture.”
“Delicious Little Tokyo” annual event is a part of “Go Little Tokyo” neighborhood marketing campaign ran by Little Tokyo Community Council, created by Community Arts Resources and funded by Metro Los Angeles, in collaboration with the Little Tokyo Service Center.
