LOS ANGELES, CA – The Little Tokyo Community Council (LTCC) invites the public to experience Delicious Little Tokyo on Saturday, April 18, from12:00 – 5:00 p.m., a vibrant neighborhood celebration showcasing the rich cultural heritage, small businesses, and culinary traditions of Little Tokyo.
This highly anticipated annual event brings together residents, visitors, and community partners for a day of immersive experiences throughout the historic district. From guided historical tours to free neighborhood exploration activities, Delicious Little Tokyo highlights the unique character and resilience of one of Los Angeles’ most treasured neighborhoods.
A key highlight of this year’s event is the return of guided walking tours led by the Little Tokyo Historical Society. Dubbed as “Little Tokyo Hungry Society Waling Tour,” these tours offer attendees a deeper look into the neighborhood’s layered history, from its early beginnings through periods of displacement, resilience, and cultural preservation. Participants will have the opportunity to explore historic sites, enjoy tastings at legacy businesses, and gain a richer understanding of Little Tokyo’s significance as one of the last remaining Japantowns in the United States.
Adding an interactive and contemporary twist, the event will also feature the Pikmin Bloom MINI WALK, inviting attendees to engage with Little Tokyo through a playful, app-based experience. Using the Pikmin Bloom app, participants can explore the neighborhood, discover points of interest, and complete a themed walking route that blends digital interaction with real-world exploration. The MINI WALK encourages visitors to move through the district in new ways while connecting with both the physical and cultural landscape of Little Tokyo.
“Delicious Little Tokyo is more than just a food event—it’s a celebration of community, culture, and the small businesses that make this neighborhood so special,” said Kristin Fukushima, Executive Director of the Little Tokyo Community Council.
Delicious Little Tokyo draws more than 1,500 participants annually and supports dozens of local businesses, reinforcing LTCC’s mission to protect, preserve, and promote the character and values of this historic neighborhood.

ABOUT LITTLE TOKYO
Little Tokyo is one of four remaining historic Japantowns left in the nation, the 2nd oldest neighborhood in Los Angeles at 141 years old and a California Cultural District. Home to some of our nation’s most important Japanese American institutions, Little Tokyo has been dramatically reshaped by the WWII Japanese American incarceration camps and decades of redevelopment and displacement. Yet Little Tokyo has and continues to be the cultural home for the Southern California Japanese American community and our historically multi-ethnic community.
