West Los Angeles Buddhist Temple invites the community to the 75th Annual Obon Festival at the temple site, 2003 Corinth Ave, West Los Angeles, CA 90025 on the weekend of July 26-27.

ObonĀ is a way to express our gratitude for those who came before us and appreciate what they have contributed to our lives. This family-friendly festival is open to the community and attendees from all over have a chance to dress in traditional Japanese attire and celebrate the lives of their loved ones though bon odori, or Japanese folk dances.
The Obon Festival also provides an opportunity for festival-goers to learn more about Jodo Shinshu Buddhism through exhibits and displays, experience Japanese culture through a wide variety of ethnic food and performances, and to have some fun playing a number of carnival games.
