The Send Your Love concert bridges the U.S. and Japan through music and cultural presentations, with proceeds supporting wildfire relief efforts in Los Angeles.

The first half features Japanese cultural presentations, opening with traditional folk music by Amaterasu Roots accompanied by dance groups and continuing with a table-style tea ceremony accompanied by original arrangements of Japanese melodies performed by the Japan–America Chamber Ensemble.

The second half includes an original piano solo by Landon of Torrance, an award-winning participant in the YAMAHA JOC International Competition for three consecutive years, as well as performances by the El Marino Japanese Chorus led by Aiko Fukushima and nTyme (North Torrance Youth Musicians Ensemble), showcasing the next generation of local talent.

With continued community support, Tulips in Harmony is again dedicating this year’s concert to wildfire relief efforts in Los Angeles. Proceeds from last year’s concert enabled a $4,300 donation to a library in Altadena.

“From past to future, across the U.S. and Japan — this concert unites time and culture while bringing our community together in support of those impacted by wildfires,” said Naomi Ozawa, director of Tulips in Harmony.

Tulips in Harmony is a community-based organization that connects people through music and cultural exchange while supporting charitable causes. The Send Your Love concert series honors the memory of the 2011 earthquake and tsunami and channels community support toward ongoing relief and rebuilding efforts.
