“Send Your Love” Charity Concert for Victims of Altadena Wildfire (2025) Showcases Japanese Traditions and Local Youth Musicians in Torrance Salvation Army Hall | April 26, 2026

"Send Your Love" charity concert for the victims of Altadena Wildfire (2025) was hosted by nonprofit "Tulips in Harmony" in Torrance on April 26, 2026. (Cultural News Photo)

Tulips in Harmony presented “Send Your Love: 15th Memorial Charity Concert After Tsunami” at the hall of the Salvation Army Torrance Corps, 4223 Emerald Street, Torrance, CA 90503 on Sunday, April 26, 2026 from 3:30 p.m.

Proceeds from “Send Your Love” concert will be sent directly to Altadena Wildfire Disaster Recovery Program for Child Education.

Japan America Chamber Orchestra was founded in the fall of 2000 as a chamber ensemble to perform an annual fundraising event of the Japan America Society of Southern California. The Orchestra performs at various venues including cultural festivals, community events, and assisted-living and nursing facilities. They present two free public concerts every year.

Miyuki Matsunaga (MC)
Matsunaga is an actress and a voice trainer in Los Angeles. She created “Geta Dance.” She opens Wave School in Torrance for performing arts and spiritual holistic healing.

Landon Kroon (Piano Solo)
Currently he is fifteen years old, Kroon is attending the Colburn School in Los Angeles. He began his musical journey at age of four at the Torrance Yamaha Music School. His passion for the stage emerged early. At just eight years old, he was the youngest performer at the 2020 Yamaha Highlight Concert at the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM). Since then, he has performed across the U.S. and internationally. In 2023, he was selected to represent Yamaha Music USA at the Gala Concert in Tokyo, followed by a performance of his original works at the 2025 International Highlight Concert in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

El Marino Japanese Chorus was founded by Aiko Fukushima at El Marino Language School in Culver City as a after-school program in 2019. The members have amazing opportunities to learn Japanese culture and elementary school curriculum in Japanese and English to become bilingual.

Aiko Fukushima is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music, and currently a fellow at the Sundance Institute Composer’s Lab. Her recent works include scoring two seasons of the Netflix animated series “Samurai Rabit: The Usagi Chronicles.” In 2025, she orchestrated NHK’s Taiga Drama “Berabo.”

Kae Matsumoto Black is a graduate of Tokyo University of Arts. Currently she is a Los Angeles-based composer, orchestrator, and pianist. She teaches at Le Lycee Francais de Los Angeles and works with high-profile clinets in Hollywood and Europe.
