Featuring Selections from Her New Album Journey To The Heart
Spend an intimate evening with internationally acclaimed pianist, composer & humanitarian, Keiko Matsui on June 16, 2017, at the Aratani Theater in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles.
Ms. Matsui has entertained audiences for over 30 years with her unique piano stylings, and this evening will truly be one to remember. She will perform selections from her new album, Journey to the Heart, which will take you through an uncharted path of her soul as she pulls you through her journey as an artist, revealing bits and pieces of her being until she captures your heart.
“Music creates a oneness,” says Matsui, “Journey To The Heart is my gift to my fans. I want to deliver the most beautiful and emotional experience.”
Music Director and Conductor, David Benoit and the renowned Asia America Youth Symphony Orchestra will accompany Ms. Matsui in this endeavor.
“I have known Keiko for many years, and I love this new album of hers which reveals a different side of her musical ability. With the Latin rhythmic patterns and beautiful melody motifs, she pushes the envelope to explore her creative artistry and launch it to another dimension in her career,” notes Benoit.
The evening culminates with two jazz legends on the same stage as Maestro Benoit performs with Ms. Matsui in a two piano grand finale, that promises to bring the audience and performers together in that state of oneness.
The Aratani Theater is the perfect setting. With it’s beautiful décor, state of the art sound and lighting system, it’s the perfect setting to let Keiko take you away to another dimension for a night.
