Saturday, June 25, 2022 – 7:30 pm, Aratani Theatre

TAIKOPROJECT returns to Little Tokyo for their annual Rhythmic Relations home concert as 50 drummers of all ages perform on a wide array of taiko drums.

Featuring TAIKOPROJECT along with sister groups Bombu Taiko and Kitsune Taiko, the evening will feature a mix of traditional and modern styles and compositions, blending taiko with koto (Japanese zither), guitar, bass, vocals, marimba, shinobue (bamboo flute), dynamic choreography, and dance.

The first guest artist will be guitarist Glenn Suravech. Glenn, a long-time collaborator with TAIKOPROJECT and recording engineer for all three of their albums, returns to the stage for a special rendition of a classic Visiting Violette song.

Miiko Watanabe will be the first bass guest artist ever, so come on out to see what she brings to the concert.
