Starrry Kitchen and JACCC bring back back popular Singaporean Chili Crab for one night only at second annual CrabFest
The highly anticipated CrabFest, presented by the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center, will take place on Saturday, September 26, 5 p.m. at Nishi Hongwanji Temple located at 815 E. First Street in Los Angeles.
The popular event is sponsored in part by Kawaguchi-Kihara Memorial Foundation, Henry Ota, Hiji Brothers, Angel City Brewery, Pop’d Up, Snociety Urban Eatery, Sun Noodle Brand, and the King of Chili Crab - Starry Kitchen.
This is the second year JACCC has teamed up with Starry Kitchen, one of LA’s finest in the foodie scene.
For one night only, Starry Kitchen will prepare their signature Singaporean Chili Crab, along with their famous garlic noodles and other tasty side dishes.
“We’re excited to partner again with JACCC,” said Nguyen Tran, owner of Starry Kitchen. “Right now, our Singaporean Chili Crab is only available at JACCC’s CrabFest. If you want it or never had it before and always wanted to try it, you must come out to JACCC’s all-you-can-eat crab feast.”
Proceeds from the event will go toward providing free concerts and festivals on JACCC’s plaza throughout the year.
“By bringing back a local favorite, we create community through a shared love of good food, while at the same time providing support for JACCC,” said Leslie A. Ito, President & CEO of JACCC. “CrabFest is absolutely the most fun and delicious event, especially when you’re working with Nguyen and Starry Kitchen, the King of Chili Crab.”
