L.A. Kimono Club presents Mr. & Miss Kimono Contest 2020 on Wednesday, January 1, 2020, at 11:00 am at Japanese Village Plaza in Little Tokyo.
Rules & Regulations:
All contestants must sign-up before December 23, 2019. Registration form is available on the LA Kimono Club website, https://www.lakimonoclub.org/news.
Registration is $20 per contestant.
To be eligible, you must be at least 18 year-old. All registered contestants will check-in by 9:30 am, Judging will begin at 11:00 am.
Each contestant will showcase their kimono by walking solo, “striking a pose,” and doing a full turn for judges.
Judging includes Japanese Kimono experts who will evaluate the type of Kimono, as well as how each contestant wear Kimono beautifully.
There are no restrictions on the type of Kimono, however additional credit is awarded to traditional Kimonos.
