“Voice of Earth”- produced by Ken Koshio and performed by Ken Koshio and Chieko Kojima – echoes with a sound that could only come from soulful and powerful spirits, which resonate your heartbeat, and connects people across cultures and to our planet.
Ken Koshio is a world class Japanese Taiko drummer. He produced many cultural events and concerts, especially Taiko ‘n’ Roll Live Show, which has been very successful. Taiko is a Japanese style of percussion, combining music, movement and spirit. Ken pushes the boundaries of Taiko through various collaborations, creating a totally authentic and unique style of music. It is truly a powerful production and exciting performance you will see with an amazing special guest, Chieko Kojima from Japan.
Chieko Kojima is Japanese folk dancer and one of KODO’s founding members in 1981. KODO is one of the best and well-known Japanese Taiko Troupes touring worldwide. In addition to her work with KODO, she also has an active solo career that is perhaps best characterized by her ongoing project, Yukiai,” where she seeks out new encounters and collaborations with artists and taiko groups within Japan and throughout the world.
She became a KODO Distinguished Member in 2012, and was program director for the annual Sado-based concert series “KODO Special Performances on Sado Island” for four years, starting from its inaugural season.
