The Azuma Ryū Japanese dance group is celebrating 26 years in Ventura County. The dance school will have 61 dancers (ages 3 to adult) in traditional costumes, performing a selection of classical and modern dances at the Azuma Kotobuki Kai Annual Student Recital 2025.
The program will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025, 2:30 p.m. at the Thousand Oaks High School Performing Arts Center (2323 N. Moorpark Rd, Thousand Oaks CA 91360).
The program will be about 90 minutes long and will include two pieces with live musicians, including koto player Emily Kazuchiye Imazumi.
After the recital, Kotobuki Kai will have a short reception with the dance group members.
Admission: $15 adults, $10 youth (3-17), $10 senior 62 +, children 2 and under free.
