Learn the secrets of the “hikinuki,” or on-stage quick costume change sometimes featured in Japanese dance performances, including those dance sequences in the Kabuki drama.

A guest artist from Japan will present this unique lecture on the art of the Koken, or dancer’s stage assistant, and perform the hikinuki, seldom seen in the United States, in one of several Japanese classical dance performances that will follow the lecture.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for children (12 years and younger)
