SUN VALLEY, LOS ANGELES (Cultural News: Forwarded for Valley Japanese Community Center) – Save the date! Welcome back Obon 2023!

After 3 long years we are back to kick off the Obon season here in Southern California.

Assorted food, beverages, baked goods sale, shaved ice, sushi and other yummy foods will be available.

Bon dance practices are starting Tuesday May 30 and are every Tuesday and Friday 7-9PM. Last practice is Tuesday 6/13.

Bring Uchiwa/Sensu, kachi kachi and tenugui. See you all May 30th! I’m so excited!!!!

WARNING Parking gets very crowded so please plan arriving early or park outside the lot.
